There are no words, well none that I can think of that even comes close to offering some consolation to the people of Paris and the rest of France. The world seems such a different place to the world in which I grew up. Yes, there have been wars, dreadful loss of innocent life, but there is something  quite different about terrorism. They say they want to take over the world, yet when you look at the world they live in, sand, buildings destroyed by bombs, torture and terrorism inflicted on their people, the destruction of art works, it goes on and on. It’s certainly not a world where most decent human beings would want to live.

I wish I had an answer to all this killing, but I’m stumped. I’m not a religious person, but I do believe that good will always overcome evil. Let’s hope it’s sooner rather than later. In the meantime, the only words I can think of to offer are those by Martin Luther King:

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

I'd love to hear from you

I’m with MLK. I think the light will have to be created artistically in a kind of joyous life movement to rival the death cults as I call them. I’d like to help articulate that. Glad you liked my grumpy muso post, other music stuff also. Will follow your site

Thanks for the comments, Dave. So long as we create light then there will be no darkness. Good will prevail over evil.
