I’ve been playing guitar for almost 50 years. There’s probably not a day passes without me having a pick or a strum. Nothing serious, more as a hobby. It was something I always wanted to do. I have more than one and they’re kept in various rooms in my house. Wherever I am in the house, I can pick one up and play.
A few days ago, during a quiet few moments, I picked up one of my guitars and started to play a tune I had written back in the 1970s. That tune has never left me and although it’s only very short, after 40 odd years I can still recall every note. I hope you enjoy it too.
30 Seconds Of My 40 Year Old Tune
It’s so easy to record everything nowadays and that includes yourself playing guitar. So, a quick setup of my camera and just over 30 seconds later, my couple of bars of 40 year old tune are added to posterity. I posted it to my personal Facebook page and the response has been overwhelming! I had so many nice comments from some people who are respected in the music business. From all over the world too. Quite astonishing.
I Can’t Sing For Toffee
Anyway, I hope you enjoy my 30 seconds of old tune finished off with a bit of Paul Simon. I’m wondering if I should make more guitar videos. I can’t sing for toffee, so everything would just be instrumental. I’ll just have to see. Isn’t life strange at times? Then again, it would be pretty boring if it wasn’t. Meanwhile, I must get on with my blog! Now what was that tune I made up in 1980?
