The Happiness Project

This weeks Photo Rehab Cover Design is ‘The Happiness Project’ by Gretchen Rubin. I haven’t read the book personally, but it does look the sort of read I would enjoy.

A brief synopsis from the authors website:

The Happiness Project is one of the most thoughtful works on happiness to have emerged from the recent explosion of interest in the subject. Rubin weaves together philosophy, scientific research, history, analysis, and real-life experiences as she explains what worked for her—and what didn’t. Her conclusions are sometimes counter-intuitive – for example, she finds that money can buy happiness, when spent correctly – but they resonate with readers of all backgrounds.

I’ve used a photograph from my archive that was taken about 2005/06 in Aberystwyth, Wales. For some reason, I decided to jump by one of the beacons that were use to celebrate the Millennium. I think it was a sign that I was happy, and so fitting with the title of this book, The Happiness Project.

I'd love to hear from you

The idea of a Happiness Project fills me with dread. Sounds like taking a sledgehammer to crack a nut …

I share your sentiments about a happiness project, but I love the cover of the book here. Looks like a scene from Breaking Bad 🙂

Ok it works from my computer! I love this cover, and now that I see it on my big screen, I’m more impressed with the treatment you’ve given the photo. Such a fun cover! Thanks so much for joining.

I really love your cover, Trev. The open arms denotes freedom and happiness. It speaks to me. Well done and read the book, if you think its worth it. I am about to finish it. I got it from a friend and didn’t think I would like it but hey, it’s very interesting.
