I’m taking part in this weeks Photo Rehab Cover Makeover which is run by Musings of a Frequent Flying Scientist and Lucile de Goday. I took part for the first time only last week, so I’m still a newcomer to this. I have to say though, it’s thoroughly enjoyable and great blogging. You have to use your photographs, new or old, and design your own cover for the book or film that has been chosen as this weeks subject.
This week is Ayn Rand’s book, The Romantic Manifesto. I have to be honest, I really haven’t a clue, but sometimes this is the best way. I have used a photograph I took a couple of years ago in New York, on the Brooklyn side of East River. I thought the two women could be discussing their ‘romantic manifesto’s’ with each other against the backdrop of downtown Manhattan. I have reduced it down to just black and white, and I took the photograph on a slant originally as I thought it made a better composition than just a straight forward shot. I gave it a coating of light pink in Photoshop and added the text. That’s about it.
