This is my entry for todays Daily Post photo challenge, Trio. They say things always happen in threes. Births, weddings and deaths oh and buses! I’m not so sure how it is these days using public transport. I’ve used the tube in London and New York’s subway, and to be honest, I have never had any problems with them. However, buses are a different kettle of fish.

I haven’t used a bus to get me around for more than twenty years. I’m sure they’ve changed since they were my main transport of getting from a to b. When I first started work, I recall in the winter, there was a railway bridge close to where I worked. The bus stop use to be slap bang in the middle, and the wind always seemed to blow direct from the Arctic Circle, even in the middle of summer. I, with the thousands of others that seemed to be waiting at this bus stop for the number 8 in the middle of winter, used to stand like those penguins you see on David Attenborough’s TV show, ‘The Frozen Planet’.

Sometimes you could stand for more than an hour, especially if it was snowing, and then like a great mirage, 3 buses would show up. I’m so glad that for me, those days are a long ago history.

I like that picture, and the treatment of it.

You have a very nice theme for your blog here … what’s the name of it?

Hello, Rebekah. Thank you for your kind words. The theme is called BuzzBlog.

Fun photo, Trev. Our younger daughter spent time in Japan some years ago and said each bus stop had the times the buses would arrive and of course, they did, right on time. That would make bus travel much nicer. 🙂

Hi Janet, I believe they have them over here now and with modern technology you can download an app that will tell you the time of the next bus arriving. Thank you for commenting. Trev.

Very nice post-processing, Trev. SF has a good app for bus stops but I can’t say I’ve embraced it! 🙂

Thank you, Jane. I can’t recall the laat time I waited at a bus stop.
